- Pedestrian hit by car and dies
A woman was fatally injured in Rinteln, in the district of Schaumburg, after being hit by a car. She was walking when the car driven by an 18-year-old man struck her, a spokesperson for the public prosecutor's office said. The cause of the accident on Friday evening is still unknown. Investigations are being conducted against the 18-year-old on suspicion of negligent homicide. The young driver's car has been seized.
