County of Bentheim - Pedestrian dies in accident
A pedestrian has died in a traffic accident in Neuenhausen (Grafschaft Bentheim district). According to the police, the 52-year-old had run into the middle of the road on Friday evening for as yet unexplained reasons, as the Emsland/Grafschaft Bentheim police station announced on Saturday. She was hit by a car whose driver was unable to avoid her. Despite the immediate resuscitation measures initiated by the 30-year-old driver, his two passengers and the ambulance service that arrived later, the pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. The occupants of the car, aged between 28 and 32, remained uninjured.
