Passau, the city with three rivers in Lower Bavaria, experiences significant flooding due to intense rain. On Sunday, the flood information service reported that the water level of the Danube exceeded 7.70 meters. As a result, many streets and squares in the city are submerged.

The highest point of the flood with approximately 9.0 meters on the Danube is anticipated for Tuesday. In Passau, the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers meet.

The unrelenting rainfall has caused several rivers and streams to overflow in multiple regions, causing many people in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg to evacuate their homes. Thousands of volunteers are on the ground to aid those affected.
