Debt brake - Parliament debates the consequences of the budget crisis
In its last session of the year, the Hamburg Parliament will once again address the debt brake and the consequences of the federal budget crisis for the Hanseatic city. Under the title "Bitter Christmas present: Poor governance by the traffic light and red-green Senate - now the citizens are footing the bill!", the CDU parliamentary group has registered the topic for the topical hour on Wednesday (1.30 pm). The left-wing parliamentary group has titled its motion for debate "Fetish debt brake: traffic lights go easy on the rich, but prefer to cut our future".
The MPs will also be discussing the Middle East conflict and its impact on coexistence in Hamburg. To this end, they have a motion from the governing SPD and Green parties on a digital streetwork service to better identify and counteract the radicalization of young people. In a motion, the CDU is calling for better support for schools in the fight against anti-Semitism.
