Parliament commemorates the victims of Hamas terror in Israel
Members of the Schwerin state parliament observed a minute's silence on Wednesday to remember the victims of the terrorist attack on Israel by Islamist Hamas. The horrific attack, which claimed more than 1,300 lives, could not be justified by anything, emphasized State Parliament President Birgit Hesse. "The terrorists have triggered a military conflict, the course and duration of which is unfortunately difficult to predict at present," said Hesse. There is a threat of regional expansion. In the current situation, nothing is more desirable than peace.
The German Parliament, like its Schwerin counterpart, might also hold a commemoration to honor the victims of the Hamas conflicts in Israel. The persistent conflicts in the region could potentially escalate further, posing a significant threat to regional stability.
