Investigations - Parents allegedly killed infant: Autopsy confirms it
Following the death of an infant in Bielefeld, the autopsy on Monday confirmed the suspicions against the parents. According to the public prosecutor's office and the police, several suspected fatal stab wounds were discovered on the child's upper body. The parents, who are urgently suspected of the crime, have been in custody since Saturday. During his interrogation, the 22-year-old father had said where he had put the body. Investigators then found the dead infant in a wooded area between the parents' home and the Autobahn 33.
The couple from Bielefeld are being investigated for murder. The two are alleged to have killed the baby together in November 2023 immediately after the birth. A homicide squad has been set up to clarify the background.
