Theft - Parcel driver robbed and beaten on the Berlin ring road
Two masked thieves stole freight from a truck on the Berlin ring road and beat the driver. According to the police, the 43-year-old was delivering a parcel service on the federal highway 10 on Wednesday evening when he noticed two people on the loading area throwing garbage bags with stolen goods while the truck was moving. The truck driver stopped the vehicle near the Berlin-Marzahn exit and wanted to confront the thieves. They then pushed him aside and hit the 43-year-old, as the police reported on Thursday.
The parcel thieves then loaded more bin bags into a van, which had stopped nearby in the meantime and then disappeared in the direction of Berlin. They jumped into another car and fled in the direction of Strausberg. This resulted in a collision with another vehicle. The men were able to escape.
