Second German League Matches - Paderborn signs Freiburg's young talent, Baur.
SC Paderborn has hired attacking player Mika Baur from SC Freiburg for the upcoming season. The East Westphalian second-league side made the announcement on Thursday, without sharing any information about the contract. "The terms of the agreement allow for future possibilities," said Freiburg's sports director Klemens Hartenbach. The 19-year-old junior national team member has already appeared in 61 third-league matches for Freiburg's second team.
"Mika has gained considerable experience in the professional league and wants to take the next step in his career with us," said Paderborn's sports manager Benjamin Weber. "We're getting a creative player who will enhance the versatility of our offensive play."
Prior to this, the Ostwestfalen had already recruited Marius Schubert (Vitesse Arnheim), Luca Herrmann (Dynamo Dresden), Felix Götze (Rot-Weiss Essen), and Tjark Scheller (FC St. Pauli II) for the forthcoming season.
