Benjamin Weber, the Sport Business Manager, lauded the new recruit as a "physically powerful goalkeeper who's already gained vast experience by playing at top-tier clubs at a relatively young age." At just 25, Schubert has already found success with Dynamo Dresden, Eintracht Frankfurt, and FC Schalke 04. His most recent stint was at Vitesse Arnheim, where he served as the backup keeper.
