- Overturned manure-laden tanker graces railway tracks
In the Oberallgäu region, a mishap involving a sulfur-loaded tanker truck brought about a prolonged shutdown of the railway route connecting Memmingen and Kempten. Around midday, for reasons unclear, the vehicle swerved off the highway close to Dietmannsried and ended up on its side beside the tracks, as per the Federal Police's accounts. Remarkably, the tanker driver emerged unscathed from the incident. Following around three hours of recording the incident details and extracting the vehicle, the line was declared fit to operate once more.
The tanker truck's accident caused a disruption on the railway line connecting Memmingen and Kempten, temporarily halting train services. After the tanker was removed from the tracks, the safety inspectors declared that the railway line was once again operational.
