In gusty winds and soggy roadways, a transport operator lost command over his rig around daybreak on the A20 close to Laage (district of Rostock), leading to his tractor and trailer plunging into a ditch. According to authorities, the haul was filled with metal girders. The chauffeur sustained minor wounds. The estimated repair costs hover around 100,000 euros. Road closures were declared for the retrieval of the truck and its freight.
