Verden - Overhead line damage disrupts Hamburg-Bremen rail services

Falling bridge parts disrupted traffic on the Hamburg-Bremen railroad line on Thursday. Parts of a pedestrian bridge fell onto the overhead line near Ottersberg (Verden district) on Wednesday evening, said a spokeswoman. Traffic had to be temporarily diverted. The NDR had previously reported.

One of the two tracks has since been reopened, the spokesperson said on Thursday afternoon. Trains are now being rerouted past the site on a single track. There are still delays. The second track is expected to be reopened in the course of the day.
