Collisions or incidents - Over 350 surgeries necessary due to Munich's flooding.
Since Saturday morning, heavy rainfall has caused over 350 emergency calls to the fire department in Munich. According to a spokesperson for the department, some trees fell on the wet ground and there was even one case of a tree hitting a tram's overhead line. The main concern is the increasing groundwater levels that are putting pressure on homes, resulting in most emergencies being related to water damage in basements or undergarages.
