Viewing Events - Over 10,000 individuals have viewed the Mahler photo display in Erfurt.
Nearly ten thousand visitors checked out the photo exhibition featuring the works of Ute and Werner Mahler, the founders of renowned "Ostkreuz" agency. A representative from the organizers spoke of their satisfaction after the event concluded last Sunday. The show highlighted the small Thuringian village of Berka near Sondershausen (part of the Kyffhäuserkreis) where Ute Mahler, born in 1949, and her father Ludwig Schirmer (1929-2001), a master miller and later an advertising photographer, captured fleeting moments of village life. Werner Mahler as well contributed his own photographic pieces. These black and white images, spanning over seven decades, were only recently assembled. Alongside the Berka project, other collections were displayed, with the exhibition inaugurated at the beginning of March.
