- Over 1,100,000 temporary residential episodes were recorded in Bremen.
Spending nights in Bremen has seen an uptick in the initial half of the year. "Bremen is more of a tourist magnet than it's ever been before," stated Bremen's Minister of Economy, Kristina Vogt (Left Party). Between January and June, this historic city recorded over 1.1 million overnight stays, marking a 4.5% boost from the previous year.
Oliver Rau, the Managing Director of Bremen's Economic Development Corporation, is optimistic, envisioning this as potentially a record-breaking year. The availability of beds in the city has also shown an upward trend. Approximately 80% of these visitors hail from Germany, followed closely by the Netherlands, the USA, and the UK. The total revenue generated from both day and nighttime tourism in the city of Bremen stands at around 1.8 billion euros.
Due to the increased tourist inflow, there's a heightened demand for suitable Accommodation in Bremen. To cater to this demand, the city has witnessed an expansion in its Accommodation provision.
