U17 World Champion - Osawe still has to come to terms with title win

RB Leipzig's U17 World Cup winner Winners Osawe is completely overwhelmed by his success with the German team. "It's an incredible feeling to become world champion - and in the same year as the European Championship title. I still can't really grasp it and have to process it first," said the 17-year-old on Sunday. The day before, Osawe had won the title in Indonesia with the DFB team by beating France on penalties.

Osawe was unable to intervene in the decision from the spot. The midfielder was shown a yellow card in the 70th minute. "Fortunately, everything went well in the end and I can say that I see it as experience and will take it with me on my future path," said Osawe. "In the end, the title is the only thing that counts. I have goosebumps all the time when I think about it. It's an indescribable feeling."
