- Opposition to the operation resulting from an issued warrant leads to officers experiencing violence
A warrant was issued for a woman, aged 53, and her 59-year-old partner, following accusations of assaulting law enforcers during a residential raid. According to police reports, a police operation was carried out at their apartment in Sand am Main, Haßfurt district, on a Monday. Upon opening the door, the man reported that the woman wasn't present, but officers picked up strange noises and attempted to enter. The man allegedly attacked an officer, leading to a physical altercation on the floor. He sustained minor injuries during the scuffle. In retaliation, the woman tried to rescue her partner, and in the process, suffered her own injuries. Two other officers also sustained minor injuries during the fracas.
The woman declined to pay a small fee to avoid arrest, leading to her detention in a prison facility. Both individuals now face numerous charges, including resisting arrest and aiding an escape.
The warrant against the woman and her partner is due to their involvement in a crime of resisting arrest and aiding an escape. Due to their actions during the residential raid, they are now also formally charged with assaulting law enforcers.
