Companies must repay excess Corona aid. In Schleswig-Holstein, there are still outstanding claims, as the Ministry of Economics announced. Previously, the "Kieler Nachrichten" reported this.

There were nearly 21,000 recovery demands out of approximately 56,000 applications for the immediate aid. The volume of recovery demands amounted to 164.7 million euros from state and federal programs. According to ministry figures, 141.6 million euros have been repaid so far, with 2,300 deferrals approved.

Grant amounts ranged between 4,500 and 9,000 euros.

For the restart aid, there were recovery demands for nearly 5,200 out of a total of 16,875 applications, with a volume of 17.4 million euros. So far, seven million euros have been repaid. Around 500 deferral applications are in progress.

The average grant amounts ranged between 4,500 and 9,000 euros per application. The recovery rate based on the disbursed grant volume is currently 24% for restart aid and 35% for immediate aid, according to the Ministry of Economics.

Companies should prioritize implementing robust health and safety measures to minimize risks during the repayment process of excess Corona aid. It's crucial for businesses to ensure that their employees are well-informed about these measures to prevent any incidents related to health and safety.
