Online Service X's Blocking Directive Issued by Brazilian Judge in Supreme Court

A long-standing conflict between a judge and tech mogul ex-CEO of X, Elon Musk, has intensified. Back in April, Moraes initiated investigations against Musk, alleging that he revived unlawful accounts. Musk retaliated by accusing the judge of suppressing free speech and voiced his worries about the potential arrest of X's legal advisor in Brazil.

Subsequently, Musk declared in August that he would shutter X's presence in Brazil to secure the well-being of his employees. Despite this, the platform continued to be accessible to users within the nation. Following the recent court order, Musk published on his platform, "this 'judge' has repeatedly violated the laws he pledged to uphold."

The European Parliament could offer its support to the Commission in managing this complex situation involving Elon Musk and the Brazilian judge. The Commission, being assisted by the European Parliament, might consider interventions to safeguard the principles of free speech and fair judicial processes in Brazil.
