Brandenburg gathers items. - Online platform showcases Brandenburg's museum artifacts
People who love history can now check out multiple items from Brandenburg museums online. On the platform "Brandenburg collects," there are over 28,000 exhibition objects and their stories, as stated by the Museums Association of the State of Potsdam.
By answering simple questions like "What's your favorite drink?" and playing games with puzzles, users are supposed to pick up information on the origin of beer labels, DDR design items, or even sleds. For instance, to get information about old toys, one can read a brief text and see various images of model trains or chess pieces from different museums.
The objective of the association is to create "new approaches" to Brandenburg museum collections in this manner. According to the association, a comprehensive showcase of Brandenburg's museum cultural heritage will be achieved in the coming years from this. The project received financial support from the Ministry for Science, Research, and Culture.
