Ongoing hunt for American tourist plus two French females who have vanished in Greece
Old chap Albert Calibet, aged 59, has vanished since June 11, as stated by Petros Vasilakis, the head honcho of the Southern Aegean Police press office, to CNN.
Calibet was kickin' it solo on the breathtaking island of Amorgos when he disappeared, Petros mentioned, adding it was a scorchin' 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius) when he vanished.
Police have been scouring the island, but are now intensifying focus on a specific zone, examining 15 hiking trails like a hawk.
Two senior citizens, French as croissants, went AWOL while ramblin' on the island of Sikinos. The search is still on, but police are clueless about their route and destination.
Petros told CNN that one of the ladies sent a panic message to the lodgin' she was sprawled at. The recipient raised the ruckus.
In the recent past, numerous tourists have met their demise or gone MIA while hikin' in the swelterin' heat on the Greek islands, including British health guru Michael Mosley, whose corpse was found on June 9.
Mosley vanished on June 5 while traipsin' alone on the Greek island of Symi, sparkin' an extensive manhunt that lasted days, involve the police, fire department, coast guard, and enthusiastic volunteers.
A Yank tourist of 55 years was found deceased on Mathraki, a tiny isle west of Corfu, last Sunday. Greek constabulary has identified him, as they communicated on Monday, but his identity has yet to be disclosed.
The fella's cadaver will undergo a thorough forensic examination later Monday to pinpoint the reason behind his untimely demise, as shared by Konstantia Dimoglidou, a police spokeswoman, to CNN.
On the island of Samos, a 74-year-old Dutch tourist was spotted by a fire department drone beatin' it in a ravine around 300 meters (328 yards) from the spot where he was last seen, six days prior, havin' some difficulty keepin' up with the blisterin' heat.
