A person was severely injured in a fire in a attic apartment in Berlin-Mariendorf. The fire department rescued the person on Tuesday evening using a ladder from the building, according to a fire department spokesperson. It remained unclear why the attic apartment in the three-story building had caught fire. The fire had spread to the roof by the time the emergency services arrived.

Upon arrival, one person had already managed to get out of the building themselves. Another person from a neighboring apartment was rescued by the fire department. The operation lasted into the late evening.

The attic apartment in Berlin-Mariendorf required further attention from the fire department due to persistent fires. Luckily, the fire department successfully extinguished the flames in the attic apartment, preventing any further damage or incidents.
