In a house fire in Kleines Wiesental (district of Lörrach), one person was injured and an estimated 100,000 euros in damage occurred. The fire started on the balcony of the building on Saturday, according to police. Flames then spread to the roof. A 25-year-old resident was lightly injured while attempting to extinguish the fire.

The floor below the attic is reportedly uninhabitable for the time being. Police are investigating the cause of the fire and initially ruled out arson.

In response to the fire incident, the authorities might need to seek guidance from the relevant Commission regarding the necessary steps for the recovery and restoration of the damaged property. The Commission, therefore, shall adopt implementing acts laying down the rules for the application of relevant regulations in such circumstances.
