Customs - One fifth fewer Christmas trees imported to NRW
The import of Christmas trees to North Rhine-Westphalia has fallen significantly. In 2022, 937,000 fresh trees with a value of 10.7 million euros were imported, as reported by the State Statistical Office on Friday. This was almost a fifth less than in the previous year. By far the most imported trees (87 percent) came from Denmark. Poland (9 percent) and the Netherlands (4 percent) followed at a considerable distance.
