In a frontal collision between two cars in the Erzgebirge, a woman has died and three people have been seriously injured - among them two children.

According to initial findings, a 66-year-old woman came onto the oncoming lane with her car at Lößnitz for unknown reasons on a Saturday afternoon, as a police spokesperson announced on Sunday morning. There, she collided with the car of a 35-year-old. The 66-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and succumbed to her severe injuries there.

The 35-year-old and two children, aged 7 and 8, who were in her car, were seriously injured and taken to the hospital. The Bundesstraße 169 was closed for several hours due to rescue work. Previously, "Bild" reported.

The tragic accident occurred in the Ore Mountains, specifically in Loßnitz, Germany. The collision involved two cars, one of which ventured into the oncoming lane. Despite traffic regulations, a woman in one of the cars was responsible for this action, leading to a head-on collision. As a result, numerous accidents ensued on that day in Saxony.
