One dead and several injured in an accident on Hamburg's Jungfernstieg

It happened around 10:15 am. The Transporter, according to police reports, collided with a pedestrian and knocked down a 39-year-old man. The man was revived and taken to a hospital where he later died due to his severe injuries.

The driver's assistant of the Transporter, a 23-year-old, was heavily injured but not in critical condition. The 18-year-old driver and his 52-year-old passenger, as well as a passerby, were lightly injured. A 29-year-old man was hit by flying parts of a flower pot. A witness was taken to the hospital in shock.

The fire department was on the scene with over 50 personnel. The police began investigations, using a drone and a 3D scanner. A specialist was also involved in the accident reconstruction. The crisis intervention team of the German Red Cross took charge of the psychological first aid on site.

The incident occurred on Jungfernstieg, a well-known street in Hamburg. The police are investigating a traffic accident involving a car, specifically a Transporter, which resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man. Despite being injured, the driver's assistant of the Transporter, aged 23, is not in critical condition.
