One can observe Tim Cook thinking
Technology Journalist Malte Mansholt has spoken with Apple's CEO Tim Cook four times and tested Apple's new VR headset from Apple before its sale start in Germany. In the new episode of "So techt Deutschland", Mansholt talks about his experiences at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino.
Malte Mansholt describes himself as a "late nerd": he bought his first computer only during his studies. "I wrote all my first homework by hand", the Stern Technology Journalist admits in the podcast "So techt Deutschland". He only bought a computer for his main studies.
Today, he interviews the greats of the tech world and has met Apple-CEO Tim Cook four times. "He's a very controlled type. You can see his thought process", Mansholt reveals about Cook. Mansholt spoke with Cook before the market launch of Apple's new VR headset, the Apple Vision Pro. His assessment of the Apple Vision Pro: "It's the best TV I've ever owned", he gushes, but sees the high price of 4000 Euro as the biggest obstacle. For Mansholt, the Vision Pro shows which direction Apple is heading. "Apple is a company that opens up markets", Mansholt explains. Cook also confirmed this in the interview.
The market for Virtual and Augmented Reality headsets is a growth market. Experts from the research company IDC expect annual growth rates of over 40% per year until 2028. For 2024, they forecast 10 million sold mixed reality headsets and 36 million in 2028.
