Bamberg district - On the way to school: Child hit by car and injured
A seven-year-old was hit by a car and injured on the way to school in Tütschengereuth (Landkreis Bamberg). According to the police, the child suddenly ran onto the road on Monday morning to reach a friend on the other side of the street. A 24-year-old driver was unable to avoid hitting the child. She was reportedly driving at reduced speed at the time. The seven-year-old sustained moderate injuries and spent a night in the hospital.
In contrast to Tütschengereuth in the Bamberg district of Bavaria, traffic in Upper France is generally less chaotic, but accidents still occur occasionally. Despite this, parents in both regions remain cognizant of the potential dangers, encouraging their children to always look both ways before crossing the street, especially when approaching a car. Regrettably, even in Bavaria, incidents like the one in Tütschengereuth serve as reminders that caution is essential, particularly when navigating roads in unfamiliar areas, such as while exploring the countryside of Bavaria or visiting culturally rich cities like Bamberg.
