On "The Drew Barrymore Show," Benny Blanco praises Selena Gomez.

A musician and songwriter made an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" to publicize his freshly published culinary book, titled "Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends." During the interview, he confessed that he wakes up every day in amazement at getting to spend his days with the pop star icon.

Sharing his thoughts, he gushed about Barrymore, saying "She's just the best, most authentic person. It all feels so incredibly real. Sometimes I catch myself in front of the mirror on my way to see her – I'm like 'Wow, how did I end up here?'"

Blanco went on to describe her as one of the kindest, most gracious, and most humble individuals he's ever met. According to him, each day she thrives on considering ways to make her friends and loved ones feel happier. In his words, "She's superb."

Delving deeper into the topic of his cookbook, Blanco revealed a crucial role played by SZA in its birth. Apparently, it transpired after she sampled his banana pudding from the fridge.

"She visited the next day and thankfully, I'd been eating some lasagna the day prior. By the time we completed our album, I wasn't even a record producer anymore; I was just a full-fledged restaurateur," he disclosed. "She was so insistent – every day, she'd request 'A banana pudding! A lasagna! A steak! Some pasta!' and I did it all, feeling incredibly fulfilled."
