A somewhat discomforting weekend in the capital area is followed by a dry start to the week. The sky above will remain cloudy for the ensuing days.

A fresh week is set to kick off in Berlin and Brandenburg, with cloudy weather by the German Weather Service's (DWD) prediction. Starting on Monday, the clouds will mostly cover the sky, but in the afternoon, the skies break clear in some places. The wind is moderate, and temperatures stay in the 18-20 degree range. Expect another cold night with temperatures ranging between 12 to 9 degrees.

Tuesday's forecast also sees a continuation of the cloudy weather, with the occasional clearing sky in the afternoon. It's only expected to rain locally in the border of Prignitz and Uckermark regions. The rest of Brandenburg and Berlin remain dry. Temperatures range between 20 to 22 degrees.

The DWD also expects Wednesday to have a sky full of clouds, but with just a few showers falling. Wednesday night will be dark and windy, with temperatures dropping to a low of 13 to 10 degrees. From the west, a showery rainfront is headed their way, and will blow temperatures up to 20 to 24 degrees with a strong gusty wind.

During the weekend, residents of Potsdam and Berlin can expect continuous cloud cover, similar to the weather forecast for the middle of the week. Despite the forecast of clouds, the DWD predicts that Saturday might bring some sunlight to break through the cloud cover in certain areas. The Weather Service warns of potential rain in Brandenburg, specifically near the border of Prignitz and Uckermark, while the rest of the region remains dry.
