Beloved player Artur Konontsuk has signed a new contract to keep playing for EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the Basketball Bundesliga. The Estonian national team member recently joined the team in January and has easily found his place on it. Konontsuk expressed his excitement for the upcoming season and his connection to the team, fans, and organization, saying, "I've only been in Oldenburg for four months, but I already feel so connected to the team, the supporters, and the whole organization."

During the last ten regular season games, Konontsuk averaged 9.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. However, the team ultimately finished in ninth place and was eliminated in the play-ins by the Veolia Towers from Hamburg.
