Oberhavel district most affected by natural hazards
Over the past 20 years, storms, heavy rain and flooding have caused average damage of more than 2,600 euros per building in the district of Oberhavel. This makes the district the region most severely affected by natural hazards in Brandenburg and Berlin, according to a long-term assessment published by the German Insurance Association (GDV) on Tuesday. The second hardest hit was the German capital Berlin with an average building loss of around 2,300 euros over the past 20 years. The district of Elbe-Elster came third with around 2000 euros per building. The Oder-Spree district recorded the least damage per building with an average of just under 1000 euros over the past 20 years.
Given the context, two sentences that contain the words 'Insurances' and 'Disasters' could be:
"In light of the frequent natural disasters in Oberhavel, insurance companies have been increasingly concerned about providing adequate coverage for property damage."
"Given the high frequency and cost of disasters in Oberhavel, it's crucial for homeowners to have comprehensive insurance policies to protect against such losses."
