DEL - Nuremberg Ice Tigers bring in US defenseman
The Nuremberg Ice Tigers defense for the upcoming season in the German Ice Hockey League is set. The Franken filled their last open position in defense with the American Cody Haiskanen. The 27-year-old played last for the Texas Stars in the lower-tier American Hockey League and receives a one-year contract in Nuremberg.
"Cody Haiskanen is a big, right-shooting defenseman with his greatest strengths in defense and in his own third. He will particularly help us with his size and reach in power play situations and provide stability to us," explained Ice Tigers Sport Director Stefan Ustorf on Sunday.
