The Nuremberg Ice Tigers have filled their last remaining defensive vacancy. Cody Haiskanen comes from the lower American Hockey League.

DEL - Nuremberg Ice Tigers bring in US defenseman

The Nuremberg Ice Tigers defense for the upcoming season in the German Ice Hockey League is set. The Franken filled their last open position in defense with the American Cody Haiskanen. The 27-year-old played last for the Texas Stars in the lower-tier American Hockey League and receives a one-year contract in Nuremberg.

"Cody Haiskanen is a big, right-shooting defenseman with his greatest strengths in defense and in his own third. He will particularly help us with his size and reach in power play situations and provide stability to us," explained Ice Tigers Sport Director Stefan Ustorf on Sunday.

Cody Haiskanen's signing strengthens the Nuremberg Ice Tigers' defense in the German Ice Hockey League, as they look to maintain their form this season in Bavaria. The American defender, previously with the Texas Stars, brings his defensive prowess and size to the Nuremberg Ice Tigers, contributing to their power play and overall stability. Visiting fans at the Nuremberg Arena might even get a chance to witness his skills during a game, as the Nuremberg Ice Tigers compete against other DEL teams.
