Before the international break, 1. FC Nürnberg collected a lot of points in the 2nd Bundesliga. That no longer counts for coach Fiel. It could "quickly go in the other direction", he warns.

Nuremberg coach: "Forget what happened in the last few weeks"

Nuremberg coach Cristian Fiel is starting from scratch after the international break. "We would do well to forget what happened in the last few weeks," said the coach ahead of the away match in the 2nd Bundesliga on Sunday (1.30 pm/Sky) at Karlsruher SC. "We also know how quickly things can go in the other direction."

Thanks to their 3-1 win at SC Paderborn before the international break, Nuremberg have 21 points in 13 games and are even within reach of the promotion places. Fiel will have to do without midfielder Jens Castrop in particular, who was sent off with a straight red card in Paderborn. The "Club" coach says he has two alternatives in mind for him.

Nuremberg's focus in Bundesliga 2 shifts towards Karlsruhe SC, as they aim to put their recent setbacks behind them. Despite their 3-1 victory over SC Paderborn before the break, 1st FC Nuremberg's coach Cristian Fiel recognizes the importance of forgetting past mistakes, particularly their recent struggles. With Jens Castrop suspended due to a red card in Paderborn, Fiel will need to strategize with alternative midfield options.
