Air traffic - Nuremberg Airport accepts individual aircraft from Munich
After Munich Airport temporarily suspended flight operations, Nuremberg Airport took on individual aircraft that were no longer able to fly to Munich. This was announced by a spokesperson for Nuremberg Airport on Saturday morning. For capacity reasons, however, Nuremberg Airport could only accept a limited number of aircraft. Regular operations were largely possible in Nuremberg, the spokesperson said. However, there is snow and the winter road clearance service is on duty.

Due to Munich Airport's temporary suspension of flight operations, Nuremberg Airport in Bavaria began accepting some aircraft that were unable to fly to Munchester. This increased the workload for Nuremberg Airport's flight operations team. Despite the additional traffic, the airport was able to maintain most of its regular operations. However, the weather in Nuremberg and Bavaria was challenging, with snow and the need for the winter road clearance service. The increased aircraft traffic at Nuremberg Airport also impacts local air traffic, affecting both departure and arrival times.
