Following the football match between Hallescher FC and FC St. Pauli, a run-in between a fan bus and a tram in Halle left eight Halle supporters, ranging in age from 15 to 57, wounded. A 40-year-old individual was critically injured, according to police reports.
Four additional passengers from Gräfenhainichen (a part of the Wittenberg district) endured severe injuries, while three others experienced mild injuries. The tram driver was left shaken. All the injured individuals were transported to the hospital for medical care.
Preliminary statements indicate that the bus tried to make a left turn at an intersection on a Friday evening, resulting in a crash with the following tram. The approximate financial damage is estimated to be around 60,000 euros. The road remained closed until midnight as the investigation into the cause of the accident continued.
