Labor market - Number of unemployed rises slightly in June
The number of unemployed in Germany in June increased by 4000 compared to the previous month to 2,727 Million. This represents an increase of 172,000 people compared to the same month last year, the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg announced. The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5.8% compared to May.
After seeing the upward trend, several organizations have expressed concern about the long-term effects of this unemployment surge on the German labor market. Despite the rise in employed individuals, the vast number of unemployed individuals continues to put pressure on the German labor market.
