Number of unemployed rises by 31,000 in December
The number of unemployed people in Germany rose by 31,000 to 2.637 million in December 2023 compared to November, mainly due to seasonal factors. The unemployment rate increased by 0.1 points to 5.7 percent, as the Federal Employment Agency announced in Nuremberg on Wednesday.

The unemployment situation in Nuremberg, a city in Germany, also saw an uptick, aligning with the nationwide trend. The Federal Employment Agency, based in Germany, reported a rise in the unemployment rate in their December statistics.
