The number of retired civil servants and judges in Hesse has risen slightly to 97,600. This is an increase of 1.5 percent compared to the previous year, according to the State Statistical Office in Wiesbaden on Wednesday. The figures relate to the cut-off date of January 1, 2023. Almost three quarters of retirees had worked for the state of Hesse and received an average pension of 3,453 euros. Former employees of municipalities and municipal associations received an average of 3503 euros.
