State Statistical Office - Number of people in employment rose slightly last year
The number of people in employment rose slightly in Saxony-Anhalt last year. On average, around 995,000 people were employed, according to the State Statistical Office in Halle on Monday. The increase was manageable at 0.2 percent compared to 2021. In the state capital Magdeburg, the increase was comparatively significant at 1.1 percent. There were slight decreases in the Börde district (minus one percent) and in the Salzlandkreis and Altmarkkreis Salzwedel districts (minus 0.5 percent each).
