From October 2022 to September 2023, the state statistics office registered just under 108,400 new contracts, around 360 fewer than a year earlier. The lowest proportion of female trainees in all new contracts was in the skilled trades in 2023. 4900 of the 28,100 new training contracts were concluded by women, which corresponds to a rate of 17.5 percent. Conversely, male trainees were the least represented in the so-called liberal professions (10.7 percent), accounting for just under 1,300 of 11,700 new contracts.
