After a power cut caused an IT issue, it seems the justice department's systems in North Rhine-Westphalia have been restored. According to a spokesperson from Cologne's Higher Regional Court, which oversees the department's main IT service provider, "all problems have been handled," bringing a sense of relief. The resolution appears to have occurred during the transition from Friday night to Saturday morning.

A power failure in Münster caused issues within North Rhine-Westphalia's justice system over the weekend. The central data center reportedly had to halt operations, and specialists conducted an initial assessment to ensure no permanent damage had been inflicted upon the servers. The power cut on Friday resulted in limited electronic communication, even affecting courts.

Despite the initial power failure-induced failures, the justice department managed to overcome the IT issues and fully restore their systems. Regrettably, the brief period of failure led to some instances of delayed case processing due to the disruption in electronic communication.
