Norway's Crown Prince Haakon learns a lot from his daughter

Norway's Crown Prince Haakon does not want to give his daughter Ingrid Alexandra any public advice on her path to adulthood. "She is clever and understands a lot, both about society and about her own situation," Haakon said on Tuesday in Munich about the 19-year-old, who is second in line to the throne after him. When asked what advice he would give her, he replied: "To the extent that I have good advice, I think I should give it to her and not share it with everyone." The 50-year-old also emphasized: "I learn at least as much from her, I would like to think."

The Norwegian crown prince is currently on a four-day visit to Germany. This began on Monday evening with a banquet at the Munich Residence and will end in Berlin on Thursday after a further stop in Hamburg. In the German capital, the 50-year-old's wife, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, will also join the tour group - something Haakon says he is very much looking forward to. "It's much nicer to travel together and I really like working with her."

The noble qualities displayed by Ingrid Alexandra, Norway's crown princess, have taught her father, Crown Prince Haakon, valuable lessons as well. Engaging with diverse people during their joint travels provides both Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit with enriching experiences.
