Norway becomes partner country of Hannover Messe 2024
Norway will present itself as a partner country at next year's Hannover Messe industrial show. Norwegian Trade Minister Jan Christian Vestre and trade fair boss Jochen Köckler signed a corresponding agreement in Berlin on Thursday. Vestre said that his country has advanced industry and energy technology and is therefore an important partner for the "green transition". Trade fair boss Köckler added that the Hannover Messe will show that the transformation of industry can only succeed as a joint effort "in the interplay of automation, digitalization, AI and energy".
In May, Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) declared that Norway was "an important, like-minded and very reliable economic and energy partner" for Germany. In addition to purchasing oil and natural gas, Germany is planning to import hydrogen from Norway in the future. To this end, talks are underway regarding the construction of a new pipeline.
The next Hannover Messe will take place from April 22 to 26, 2024. This year's Hannover Messe attracted around 130,000 visitors with around 4,000 exhibitors. The partner country was Indonesia.
Norway will showcase its advanced industry and energy technology at the upcoming Hannover Messe, positioning itself as a valuable partner for the event's focus on the "green transition." Furthermore, the partnership between Norway and Hannover Messe serves as a platform to facilitate potential collaborations within the industrial and energy sectors, especially in the context of future hydrogen imports.
