A gathering regarding Ukraine's issues - Normal rail traffic will resume on Wednesday.

Major traffic disruptions have hit Berlin due to the tight security measures put in place for the Ukraine reconstruction conference. Deutsche Bahn, the train service provider, expects things to "calm down" by Wednesday.

"Despite the overall normalization of services, there are still some restrictions on certain sections of the network. This is due to the unavoidable detours that had to be implemented due to the official closures this morning," a spokesperson for Deutsche Bahn said in the afternoon. "Many regional and long-distance trains are still using alternative routes until midday."

The city has faced chaos since Monday as a result of the stringent security measures put in place for the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. As of Wednesday morning, all S-Bahn lines were still dealing with delays, cancellations, and restrictions.
