No round trips in the fishing port of Bremerhaven
There have been no round trips for tourists in Bremerhaven's fishing port for months. The reason: no captain can be found. "It's a shame that visitors can't experience the fishing port from the water at the moment," said a spokeswoman for the fishing port operating company on Thursday. The previous operators had retired this year for reasons of age.
The company is urgently looking for a replacement so that it can start up again next season. "Interested parties are welcome to contact us," said the spokesperson. The prerequisite is possession of the necessary patents, i.e. proof that you are allowed to operate a boat.
Despite the lack of round trips, visitors can still explore the fishing port during their leisure time. Once a captain is found and the service resumes, shipping activities will enhance the leisure experiences for tourists.
