- No dispute between Sahin and Mislintat
Borussia Dortmund has officially denied the atmospheric disturbances and alleged dispute between Sven Mislintat and coach Nuri Sahin. According to media reports, Mislintat is said to have even threatened to leave the BVB. "What I had to read on Sunday does not correspond to the actual situation. There has been no dispute between Nuri Sahin and Sven Mislintat. And there has been no warning from Sven Mislintat," said Lars Ricken, sporting director, to the German Press Agency. Even interviews conducted with Mislintat were coordinated with the club.
Terzic also had no operational proximity
The tasks are clearly defined, explained Ricken. Mislintat is supposed to work in the background, bring his expertise to bear in squad planning and develop transfer suggestions. Ricken took over the overall responsibility for the sports area at the BVB from the chairman of the management board, Hans-Joachim Watzke, in May. "Even Edin Terzic had no operational proximity during his time as technical director at the BVB, because his tasks were simply different," said Ricken.
The 48-year-old also pointed to the good conditions in the training camp. "We have extraordinary conditions and a top atmosphere in the team and staff here in the training camp. We feel very comfortable, and the mood is a good mix of intensity, willingness, and relaxation. Yesterday evening, the new additions sang - there were tears of laughter," said the former BVB player.
Despite Terzic's role as technical director having different responsibilities, Mislintat's tasks remain focused on working behind the scenes, contributing to squad planning and propose transfer suggestions. Soccer enthusiasts at the BVB training camp are currently enjoying an excellent atmosphere, with the new signings even joining in a heartfelt singing session, causing tears of laughter.
