- No confessions in the Lüneburg trial of the right-wing rock

The five defendants in the Lüneburg right-wing rock trial had the opportunity to make a confession at the start of what is likely to be a lengthy trial period, but they let it pass. On the second day of the trial at the regional court, only photos from raids were shown.

A 34-year-old from Bardowick (district of Lüneburg) is considered the ringleader; he has been in custody since October 2023. His garage is said to have been used, among other things, as a storage facility for the produced records.

Since 2018, he is said to have spread nationalist, antisemitic slogans and racist ideology together with men from Berlin, Hamburg, the districts of Herzogtum-Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein and Biberach in Baden-Württemberg. The songs call for violence against foreigners and spread a nationalist ideology.

The men, aged between 34 and 54, are said to have sold more than 28,000 records and earned at least 285,000 euros, according to the approximately 70-page indictment from the Celle public prosecutor's office.

The defendants are accused of forming or being members of a criminal organization. In addition, they face charges of incitement of the masses in up to 48 cases, use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations, and depiction of violence.

The record covers show banned Nazi symbols such as the double Sig-Rune as a sign of the SS, the stylized death's head symbol of the SS, and slogans of the SA, NSDAP, and Hitler Youth, as listed by the public prosecutor's office.

For the first time on August 22, a police officer will be heard as a witness in the trial. Due to the extensive evidence secured in October 2023 in five federal states and on Mallorca, trial dates are scheduled until the end of the year.

The five defendants are being tried in a case handled by The Office of the Prosecutor due to their alleged involvement in the right-wing rock trial. The indictment from The Office of the Prosecutor in Celle accuses the men of earning over 285,000 euros by selling more than 28,000 records with banned Nazi symbols.
