- Niklas Dorsch moves back from Heidenheim to Augsburg
Previously capped German U21 star Niklas Dorsch shifts his Bundesliga allegiance from FC Augsburg to 1. FC Heidenheim. Both teams confirmed this shortly post-transfer deadline.
At 26, the skilled central midfielder had previously graced Heidenheim's pitch in the second division, from 2018 till 2020. "I aim to play the entire 90 minutes consistently. Due to this objective, I communicated my desire to depart from FCA management, as I had doubts about my game time at FCA potentially falling short of my ambitions for the following season," Dorsch stated.
Besides Heidenheim, Belgian outfit RSC Anderlecht and Hannover 96 also expressed interest in the ex-Bayern Munich youngster.
Although Niklas Dorsch had a successful stint at RSC Anderlecht and Hannover 96 considered his acquisition, he chose to return to his former club, The Dorsch, which is 1. FC Heidenheim. The Dorsch will undoubtedly benefit from Dorsch's experience and drive to play consistently for 90 minutes.
