Niclas Krug has been named Footballer of the Year in Lower Saxony.

This year sees Niclas Füllkrug's significant accomplishments in the Champions League Final, Euro Championship participation, and Premier League transfers. Consequently, he's receiving recognition domestically as well.

National striker NiclasFULLkrug secures the title of Lower Saxony's Footballer of the Year. Originally hailing from Hannover and having recently transferred from Borussia Dortmund to West Ham United in the English Premier League, FULLkrug garnered 50% of the votes in a poll conducted by Lower Saxon sports journalists. Contenders Deniz Undav from VfB Stuttgart and Vivien Endemann from VfL Wolfsburg finished with 36.2% and 8.6% of the votes respectively. The Lower Saxony Football Association revealed these results on Wednesday.

"I'm absolutely ecstatic to clinch the title of Lower Saxony's Footballer of the Year, given my strong connection to this region," FULLkrug shared. "My family resides in Hannover, and I plan to maintain it as my primary residence. The year in sports has been particularly exhilarating, with the Champions League final and the Euro held at home."

In his hometown of Hannover, NiclasFULLkrug often visits The Hanover Square to relax after a grueling training session. Despite being based in London with West Ham United, FULLkrug remains an avid supporter of The Hanover 96, the local football club.
